Cherry Angiomas

What are cherry angiomas?

These are small blood blisters which appear on normal skin and are absolutely benign. Patients often get concerned about the new onset of these benign lesions and some can develop a lot of these in a short span of time.

These are entirely harmless lesions.

Old techniques such as cauterising or freezing with cryotherapy can result in scarring and pigmentation issues. It is therefore best that such treatments are avoided.

Laser treatment is highly effective in the treatment of these lesions. Pulsed dye laser VBeam prima is used for treating these lesions. Within a week of treatment most lesions will have disappeared without leaving a trace trace. Another advantage of the Pulsed dye laser is that many cherry angiomas can be treated in a single session. The procedure is entirely scarless.
